Mod the game to be more like Railroads?

    Hi there,


    After I found a new love in railroad tycoon games when I bought Sid Meier's Railroads my love only grew stronger and stronger. So I decided to give Train Fever a whirl because the description and reviews were really up my alley. Train Fever is a hard game that requires some playing hours to figure it out, but when I built one very expensive track with a beginning station, end station, and depot connecting to the tracks, the game just tells me there is no path for the train while it's the only train on the track with a clear path, I get kind of frustrated because the game doesn't tell me what is wrong.


    Another thing is distance between the towns. I have to spend all my starting money for one line on the smallest map size. Can't the towns be more close to each other?


    What I'm asking is; is there a mod or will there be a mod that makes this game a bit more like railroads? With nearby towns, on the fly Line-changing without going back to a depot and trains that just work? Otherwise I could really use some help with this game because I desperately want to like it!

    Is it an electric train or a steam train? In case it's electric, then probably some piece of overhead wire is missing....

    Some railway lines also have had this problem in reality too ;) .... Try to avoid huge bridges, tunnels and cuttings when starting up a company, 'cause that's what rises the price. Also try to find the shortest way between city A and city B.
    By the way, compared to reality, the towns in TrainFever are way too close.... ;)

    I think a mod like you want to have won't be 'cause therefore you have to change many things in the game's structure....
