    • Unterirdische Station
    • Position der Strassenanschüsse
    • Strassetyp, Tram
    • Gefälle
    • Länge für einzelne Gleise anpassen
    • UI in 3 Tabs

That is at groundlevel = 0, I said several times it's possible when you build at ground level but it won't work below ground!
Did you after all read what I wrote in the earlier posts? Did you seen my screenshot? Try to build a tunnelentrance at -12m with more then one track

    -edit-

    One Track at >= 0works
    Two tracks at >= 0works
    One Track below groundworks
Two tracks or more below grounderror, terrain collision

Sorry, it is not possible to build a connection via script between a tunnel track and a normal track if it's below ground level with more then one track.
You get tunnel track terrain collision as seen on the last screenshots.

What do you mean with underground station? I have a working fully underground train station, but as said with a non good looking tunnelhull.

This thread is a about creating ramps between ground level and underground via script, but this seems to be not possible. I guess modifying did work once because the terrain was already changed so the connection was possible as it was virtually above ground level.

Adding a gap between the edge lists, build the tunnel entrance.
After this its possible to modify the construction and rebuild without the gap.
It works and a connection is added.

On the other hand, it's not possible to connect the rails between the gap as seen on the screenshot by normal track building. (Snappoints are defined)
Very odd, as the tracks are shown to have a collision, but the tunnel entrance is right and ok.

And on ground level the connection is always working, you get a black tunnel object on ground.

Building only every second track works by script, then you can add the inner track by hand.
I am quite sure TpF doesn't create the right tunnel entrance when building with a construction script and this creates a terrain collision. I am not sure how I could tell the tunnel edge to create the 3 parts portal. Creating a tunnel portal without models crashes the game when loading, so this isn't an option...

    -edit-

If both edgeList don't connect this is the result:

    Hmm?
    Einfach zwei Einträge in result.edgeLists:

    1. innere edges und snappoints leer, type = "meingleis"

Enzojz: Stop doing double posts, use the edit function, reduce the quote usage. It's hard to follow. This is my last warning, had to merge posts again.

Enzojz: Follow the link, the third picture (last one in the post) shows the tunnel walls from the locomotive standpoint. It looks bad.

Filefilters are defined in your mod.lua file, via addModifer. See the no cost scripts as example.

The tunnel hull is defined at the track config file. I do have a modifier to set the tunnelhull material to transparent via modifier. But this is a global change so this means for all this track. TpF has no model of a tunnel or a separate tunnel type. You should be able to select the tunnel entrance type via edgeType parameter like bridges. And connecting two edge definition with snappoints (one with tunnel and the other with normal tracks) underground creates collisions with tunnelentrances TpF creates.

If it works ok with attached snappoints and that the whole tunnel starts below ground level, well then I can finish my ramp designer.

As soon I try to create a track / tunnel combination at say -12m the engine will show terrain or tunnel entrance collisions.

My Tunnelstation (not released yet) or better say all purpose station (on ground in can be build in a slope, the street connector can be moved at the edge)
    Moderner Bahnhof mit mehr Bauoptionen
I don't want to create new tracks only for tunnelstations, adding new track types, bridges or other stuff may change tracks/bridges in player savegame or sometimes crashes the game.

For me, it's the problem to create a working multitrack downramp (maybe with curve option) so I can go back to work on my station :)

    Moderator Hat:
Please reread our forum rules, double post and embedding external images aren't allowed: Forum rules
So please use the edit functionality, and use fewer quotes and don't do full quotes. Thank you.

    Back to topic:

I know the slopes are bit unrealistic, however if you want to build certain stuff like nice looking ramps (with walls) you have to trick the engine to create tracks with certain slopes in my opinion.

And sometimes it really depends, there are some really heavy slopes around the rhine tracks, like here:
    Tunnel St Goar

What if you like building depots. I think my bridge/tunnel ramp designer has other use cases then your mods.
I want to build tracks near city houses for my underground station, so "cheating" by script isn't an option for my use case. ;)

While I can create slopes like this via terrain

    Transport Fever Fails - Slopes

Any other object still want the default slope style. So it's not possible to build tracks nearby. And the tracks won't align with terrain, so I need a lot more triangles and points to sample the curve better...
And if you attach a track on a snap point, TPF converts all steep slopes to normal slopes.

After my own test I guess that tunnel portals won't merge and the result is a collision.
If you add a space between the tracks (more trackDistance) building is successful.

And yes, I do have a basic prototype of a tunnel ramp designer too
