Good news: the model I got from Bandion lay for a while. In the meantime @Bandion decided it was not up to his current standards and completely revamped
the model. Unfortunately, this meant I had to redo quite some normal mapping. But totally worth it:

Oh, that cellar thing? Yeah. That's not correct.

First, it's a dungeon. Not a cellar. A cellar is a place where you keep your wine and beer.
In my dungeon those Morlocks are fitted with chains and shackles and placed behind PC's
    with Photoshop.

I'm the Steve Jobs of this Paintshed. Thrusting the Morlocks into slavery to make these
skins and then appear on a grand stage presenting it like I made it myself...

Bam! @Grimes released the PSD-files. With that I have a good idea:

I'm already swamped with terrific projects, so perhaps it would be great fun to let other people do the Privat
V200's of Germany. I relinquish any "dibs" anyone might have thought I claimed! So, who's up to the task?

Nah, not really. I'm probably gonna do one more, focusing on the German "Privat" V200's.

EDIT: That project will have to wait a little though, because there are a few other projects coming up!

And now the next. It's actually not a V200, but a Krauss-Maffei locomotive which was almost identical to
the V200.1. Unfortunately, the way the V200.1 is mapped, I can't really put on the graphics like needed.
The standard V200 however can. So, without further ado, a fictional impression of the RENFE 340:

I just liked the way it looks and didn't want to withold this one from the upcoming pack. Coming up next:
    the Italians...

Eh people, leave me some secrets...

My "technique" (by lack of a better word) is absolutely non canon. It's all off the cuff and on the fly.
I didn't watch any instruction video's or other tutorials (except for making aged-like photo's) and just
put sh*t on it. If you see my non updated early work (2014), all will immediately agree it looks terrible.
I'm just glad a couple of people like it.

    Onwards!

Next V200 of the foreign legion:

Four V200's were sold to Montcocol, which used them for construction work in Algeria. Unfortunately, all
were scrapped when they came back to France in the late nineties.

Well, I think I killed Grimes. I've just sent him a sh*tload of files. If he's not dead however, you all may expect an update on the V200
very soon. In the meantime I've started out with the Privateers. First up, the 3 versions of the Saudi-V200's. These unfortunate V200's
had a very tough time, doing railroad work in Saudi-Arabia. First in service of the German company Heitkamp (1977-1979) and later in
service of the Greek company Archirodon. As far as I know none have survived. The last one, the V200 046 was last seen in 2000 (when
it was already retired) and was reportedly scrapped in 2002.

Perhaps fun to use in the desert!

Progress has been slow, but I've managed to pull up the V200.1 and give it some paint:

    The V200.1 will get:

    - a clean version
    - a weathered version
    - a weathered version with EDV-nr. (picture)
    - a weathered Ozeanblau/Elfenbein version

There will be an extensive repaintpack of these babies, containing (almost) all of the Privatbahn-versions - but that will
    come later.

My father is a lifelong fan of the V200 and he always gets very agitated when confronted
with this particular livery. Calling it (quote) "A rape of elegance", which perfectly sum-
    marizes his point of view.

We are both avid collectors and when I bought a Märklin V200.1 with this particular livery
he at first refused to run it on the track.

I agree, it looks odd. Especially compared to the original livery. But many love these.
I, for that matter, was never a fan of the "Popfarben" and "Oriëntrot" of the late 80's/
early 90's. But I know for fact that those colors have a legion of fans.

It may have something to do with age. People who where born in the 40's-60's, people
who actually can remember steamers in active service in the BRD, tend to absolutely
hate the Ozeanblau/Elfenbein theme. People who are born in the 70's/80's usualy
don't - even better, most of them love them because those were the colors the DB ran
    when they were young.

I, however, lay my heart in the period 1918-1930. The time when all was in flux:
Länderbahn Rolling Stock still everywhere and the dawn of the age of the Einheitsbau
Steamers and the rise of the Electrical locomotives in Germany. Never before and
after was there so much diversity in rolling stock then in that time.
