From my side will follow remakes of the old repaints I did earlier for Trainfever. At the moment, the Italians are in the works.
V60 as well the V200. However, at present I'm under 24 hours bloodpressure surveillance...

There will be lots of repaints, but not the Hello Kitty I'm afraid: @Grimes would rip my head of and use it as an ashtray.
-
-
That's very strange. It seems you wanted the 4th original V60, the "orientrot" one and your error states
that it needs the texture of my NSB-repaint? -
The NSB litra Di 5 has been released! Get it here.

After visiting the Balkans, here comes the north! The Norwegian Railways bought 17 V60's from the DB in 1986. As far as I know the last
of them was scrapped in 1998.Normally a big black number should be printed on the side of the fronthood, but due to the nature of the mapping it would cause one
side to be mirrored. That wasn't a problem with the "originals", because none of the DB versions had lettering on those parts. -
Today I've updated the V60 Vorserie repaint, because it had some flaws which caused the mod to
not run properly. A big thanks to @Merk for the help! -
Next, we go to old Yugoslavia. In 1987 The National Yugoslavian Railways (Jugoslovenske Železnice) bought 31 V60's from
the DB. After Yugoslavia disolved in 1991, almost all of these were divided among the new nations. This version represents
my take on the version as it was delivered in the late 80's:If you want see the real deal: http://galerija.railserbia.net…/734_017_Skopje_Kopie.jpg
The repaint will be released later, together with other repaints.

There we go! The first texture is finished, it's based on a couple of old pictures
of the very first V60's ever made. The so called "Vorserie" (prototype). They were
slightly different from the "normal" V60's, and were very similar painted like the
V80 which was more or less the Genesis of the West German diesel locomotives
of the 50's/60's. Here's a couple of links for those pictures:http://www.loks-aus-kiel.de/images/mak_600001_51.jpg
http://www.rangierdiesel.de/images/basic/hen_25480_01.jpgI did not try to resemble those pictures to exact detail. It was my intention to create
a realistic interpretation of that particular livery. It's more a personal affectation, but
I'd like to share it with the community:Now I'm going to experiment with the "Repaint Vorlage" and it will be released some time later.
-
And with that the repaints will follow! I'll be posting progress of those partly in this thread, but mostly in my own little
hunky dory paintshed-thread. -
Almost done with the "originals", the "Verkehrsrot" version is now done. Furthermore, on request I've enhanced the gloss on the locomotive when they are
brand new, but still have retained the lack of gloss when all dirty and banged up. The new version:And so, in essence, the first five are done:
Now to tidy it all up and spam Grimes with the files....

I volunteer for texturing! No problem.
-
And a new version is ready! The "orientrot" was always - to my taste - not that stylish, but during a large part of my youth
it was the "modern" color for the DB. So, although I don't particular liked it, it has some personal nostalgic value. Here it is:The weathering had to be changed a bit. The "orientrot" paintscheme was notorious for it's all too apparent fading. Within
a couple of years many locomotives looked more pink then red, the weathering should reflect that a bit: -
It was my intention to do them all. Once you have a good paint- & dirttemplate it is possible to put out one after another with relative ease.
-
Again further progress. With the "Altrot" versions I've corrected some pieces of the burnlayer for the diamantblech (that's why some parts
looked darker, which was wrong) and enhanced parts of the dirtmap. And a new version! The polarizing Ozeanblau/Elfenbein version. The
V60 were among the first classes that got locomotives converted to this theme and many of the locomotives kept this livery far in the 90's.
Without further ado:And the phased weathering:

I know lot of them are in active service, but they are a dying breed. A lot already have been decommissioned, which already
started in the 80's (!). But they are tough little buggers:one the V60's, the 362 362-6 is at the moment the oldest DB-locomotive still in active service. It was built in 1957, so it's
60 years old.
