So the Class 156 in Scotrail livery is nearly finished. The only thing I'm having trouble with are mod dependencies. I am somehow unable to get the mod to work on my PC, however I have the impression that this might be caused by all the mod fragments that are lying around in my installation. So I would kindly ask you to test the newest version and give me a quick feedback if it's working. If not I have a workaround ready and will release the final version with the work around. To motivate you to do so here are some latest screenshots.

Cheers BritishTrains

Are they not working?

Maybe these from my current Class 156 project might help.

what you can also try is, baking an ambient occlusion map for your model via blender.

So I started working on my mods again and I'm doing a lot of work parallel. As soon as I can't stand something anymore I work on something else. I mainly worked on code and textures for the last days and want to show some of the progress.

Although Texturing isn't my strongest point as well, I would try a colour gradient for the main colour, less saturation of the dirt and maybe a metal texture that shines through from the background of the texture in areas like the ventilation slits.

Those look nice

Hey Killakanz I'm glad that you are going to build more British stuff the Class 37 wasn't released yet. However there is a Class 55 Deltic in the filebase, which looks similar. Your work looks very promising so far. I am working on a new version of my freight waggons and with your class 37 I can finally build such trains: http://freepages.nostalgia.roo…~cyberheritage/parrr2.jpg So I'm pretty excited about thiss mod.

Cheers, BritishTrains

Apparently UG did a patch while I was on vacation, thich demands for all text files to be saved in UTF-8 instead of any other format. This causes problems with some of my mods. It was on my to do list because LINUX users had the problem before, so my priorities changed a bit.

So I returned from my vacation in Scotland and my university life is back to normal, which means, I have time for modding and I have my main computer back.

Therefore here is a to do list on what I am now planning to do:

• update my mods that are affected by the UTF-8 thing -> partly done
• update the texture of the british freight wagon pack -> partly done
• get the new boogies of class 156 to work
• finish the class 156 texture

• release a gold version of class 156 instead of the openbeta one
• finish the teak coaches
• have a look on how and if I'm going to use my holiday work the raw model of the Fowler Class 3 F "Jinty"

Anything missing?

regards BritishTrains

After a long and wet hike in the scottish mountains, I used my evening for creating something new. I can't run TF on my small laptop, but blender is no problem. However I didn't have all my modding data from back home. The result is a first render of the 3F Jinty.

Ok I can see that quite alot of my work is in need for an update... This UTF-8 Problem is now concerning all users?! So it is now longer only Linux? My main Problem is, that I am on vacation and don't have the time to fix my mods directly, but If it stays this rainy I will have a look at them tomorrow evening or so. Thank you for your list @Rjoande , so I know which mods I need to fix.

I'm glad that there are more people doing British Mods. I like your work so far.

So I reworked the boogie. IT now has more details.
The unwrapping on this will be added in some of the free space on the uv map.
@Bastargre the use of this beta is to archieve a higher quality

The texture isn't final yet

the mirrored front is now fixed and the Class156r.mdl is deleated, it wasn't supposed to be released.

I edited the body.grp so the error you descriped should no longer happen.

can you make a screenshots and mark what exactly bothers you about the boogies?
The only detailed photo I could find of the boogie itself is this http://members.madasafish.com/…6/class156_underframe.htm and as far as I can the more details would mainly be a lot of pipelike stuff which might kill the poly count.

At the moment I don't have a computer that is able to run Train Fever. Therefore I'm unable to do proper testing...
