    LKAB_bogie1c.grp
    LKAB_bogie1t.grp
    nsb_di_6_lod_0_bogie.grp

    nsb_di8_bogi.grp

    re_1436_lod_0_bogie.grp

    sj_b_lok_lod0.grp

    sj_b_tender.grp

    sj_y6_bogie.grp

    sj_y6_doors_1.grp

    sj_y6_doors_.grp

I am having the same problem when trying to buy the NSB repaint if downloaded from TF.NET, however the game works if I download the mod from Steam BUT no repaints seem to work.
I have tried both the orientrot and the NSB variants, but they all come out as the original version.

I am having trouble with the Di 5 repaint, when trying to install it manually from the RAR-file from Tpf.net it says that the material file for the repaint is missing although it is in the same directory that the game complains about not finding it in which causes the game to CTD.
To solve this I copied the material files directly to the games res folder, but it still crashes.
Next I tried to download Your repaint from the Steam workshop, this time the game starts and the correct thumbnails shows up in the traindepots, but when the model comes out of the depot it is still the old Grimes V60 in DB colours.
Any idea on what might be wrong?

This is how I did it (works the same way for all models):

    1. Copy all the model files You want (I couldn't paste the images directly in this post as the post would then be too long the forum says) as in the models signals attachment.

    2. Do the same way with the signal material files as done in the second attachment.

    3. Finally do the same way with the texturefiles as in the third attachment (texture signals).

This should make it work, if not let me know and if so also any errormessages You get.

    Good luck!

    //Fredrik

Since most requests in the forum seem to be made by Swedes, I decided to make a description in Swedish, Translation can be made upon request.

I am one of those who have used Antons RCs in TpF.

It is possible to use most Trainfever models in Transport Fever via Merk's mod that convert the formats needed.

This way I have converted the orange and blue RCs that Anton included in the Nordic DLC for Train Fever and the coaches that goes with them.

Anton made lots of models but ran out of time for the project as I understood it.
As he wanted the models to look good and give him credit he wanted to release the pack when it was ready.
By that time however Transport Fever was released and since the models can't be used "as is" Anton decided to put the whole project on halt since he wanted to update the models for Transport Fever byt didn't have the time for it.

I don't know Anton but I believe this project will not be released to the community.
Hopefully some of the models will be included in the "upgraded" Nordic DLC, but we will just have to wait and see...

    Thank You for Your help!

I have found out that the texture file I wanted to use actually seems to be the preview (miniature) for TF, so it might explain why it doesn´t work as expected.
However I opened the other texture files in Irfanview and found out that the same texture file seems to include several versions/textures for the same locomotive so how does the game know which texture parts to use?
I can't find any "nrml" version of the corresponding texture files however, what is that used for as I have seen it used in other mtrl files?

The more I look in the file, the more convinced I get that the file is not properly written from the beginning which doesn't make it easier for me, but certainly a lesson worth learning if I can get the model and texture to cooperate... ;)

What is confusing me is that the files for the locomotive uses the TF filestructure which is not quite the same as TpF, but similar (it has a separate res folder not in the mods folder).
For instance the path for the texture in the mtrl file is just "models/vehicle/train/sj_rc_03.tga" which is sort of confusing since it doesn't mension textures at all, but looking at other TF models with working textures they have the same path, so I presume that the problem with finding the texture lies somewhere else.
I have checked and doublechecked that the texture files are actually in the textures folder, but it doesn't seem to find it despite using the same path as working textures in the same folder.

Does anyone have any tips as to what I can do more?

Edit: I managed to get the texture working to some part, but I don´t quite understand what regulates which parts of the texture to use on the model.

I am trying to fix the issue that the Green Cargo Rc4 from Train Fever made by AntonTorstensson is not showing up in TpF despite the conversion mod.
Using the SJ Rc files as template I have now managed to fix everything but the texture file since I can´t find where the model is calling it.
I have the texture file installed, but the model file I have "converted" from the SJ Rc doesn't apply any texture meaning that the model comes out purple.
I tried reading the model file of the SJ Rc and some other locomotive model files from TpF locomotives, but it seems that the path for the texture file is not specified in the model file which makes me wonder how the game knows which texture file to use for each vehicle in the game and how to specify that for the model.

Although I write in english, You can answer in german if You lilke since I can read but prefer not to write in German due to poor spelling- and grammarskills... :)

Something to note for the DLC is that AntonTorstensson's model of the Swedish Rc locomotive came in two SJ versions and should have included a Green Cargo version as well, but I have never managed to see it available in the game, so I browsed the DLC folder and found that there is no model file for the Green Cargo version, does it share model with the SJ Rc since it is basically the same locomotive on the outside?

Absolutely, I am happy to provide any plans I can, feel free to ask if You need anything of that nature.
I am sorry if I sounded a bit harsh there, that was not my intent.

My wish is mainly to increase the fleet of buses for TpF in general which became an ever bigger problem after the problems with DMA's models, at the moment I am using Your Setra 431 from TrainFever to fill the void.

Do You have any plans to convert Your fine buses in TF for TpF?
I miss the Setra 431 badly for my intercity lines... :D

    Best Regards
    Fredrik

You will find appropriate drawings at several websites.

I have found several useful sites just by browsing with Google:

The-Blueprints.com where You can search for various vector drawings, using them usually costs a little though (You can watch a small preview for free)
Outlines seems to be a very useful site with lots of drawings, some available for free with an account, others must be paid for.
mr-clipart offers somewhat simpler drawings if You register an account, but seems to be free to use with an account.
SMC, a blueprints forum with drawings of all kinds of vehicles such as trucks, buses and cars from most manufacturers. The blueprints are often from other places on the internet and can be watched without an account.

For the modern buses the manufacturers usually have drawings with measurements on their websites.
My thought was that if someone was interested in modding buses, he or she probably knows about the more common ones already.

Here is a list of available drawings that does not require registering or paying anything (usually the manufacturers websites):

Volvo 9700, sie finden messen auf seite 15.
    Mercedes Tourismo

Mercedes O303, the picture shows the short version, the length should be around 12m.
Neoplan Cityliner old version, two pictures to the upper right hand side shows drawings and measurements.
    Neoplan Starliner erste generation.
    Bova Futura alte version.
    Mercedes O580 Travego 2007-> version.

    Hoffentlich finden jemand es intressant!

I would like to see more buses for long lines in the game.
In TF there were at least the Setra 431DT created by Darkmo, but in TpF there are no coaches after the Ikarus coach.
I wouldn´t like to travel with a Volvo 5000 for intercity journeys...

Suggestions that would be nice to have in the game are:

    Setra S215/315/415/515
    Setra 228/328/431
    MB O303/O404/O530/O580
    Volvo 9700 1st and 2nd generation
Neoplan Cityliner (both old and current)
Neoplan Skyliner (both old and current)

For now I will try to use Darkmos Setra 431, but I would appreciate if someone took the time and effort to create some overland buses for TpF as well.

I have just copied the files from the Nordic DLC in TF to the same respective folders in TpF, then it works fine for me.Remember to copy all the necessary folders under the res folder, You will need to copy the material, mesh, model and texture files for the signals from the DLC folder to the corresponding folders in TpF.
You can choose which signals You want to use by copying just the files for the signals You want to use.

I use Merks mod for converting TF vehicles to TpF, but as I have understood it You can use signals and crossings from TF without any conversion.

The game doesn't make any distinction between trackgauges, but there is mod for narrow gauge in Transport Fever over at the Steam workshop and have already come up with some track textures, but not any rolling stock.

I agree that it would look a bit out of place if You put the SRJ vehicles next to the german trains, but the Ybp railcars could probably be reasonable since Anton has modelled the Y6 and Y7 for Trainfever.
I am a big fan of SRJ and its modern part Roslagsbanan, so it would be interesting to see the rolling stock of the SRJ in the game, but it either needs to be scaled up a bit or have it own tracks and stations.

As witih all other Swedes here in the forum I can't have enough of Scandinavian vehicles, so keep up the good work!

I think I have decided what Litt D versions to include.

Litt Dm3 (or dm+dm3+dm)Another modified Da engine (dm3) was placed in the middle

I think it would be a good idea to let the Dm3 be available longer since it was gradually replaced by the IORE and the last exemplars were actually used until 2013.

@AntonTorstensson: I would really like to have all the variants in the DLC if possible since it adds so much realism to the game.
However if I shall be a bit picky, the first version used in the 60s with the round logo should have destination signs mounted about in the middle of each side of the waggon.
This is not a big problem for me though, I am just glad You made the waggons! :-)

I agree that there should be an orange version of the Rc as well, but I haven't figured out how to repaint existing models using GIMP, so I hope someone else has the possibility to make the repaint.

There are actually three variants of the orange painting as well:

First livery from 1967 (for use with the waggons with the round logo)
Second livery used from the 1970s until the late 1980s (For use with brown waggons)
Third and final version of the orange scheme used from the late 1980s until early 1990s when they were painted blue (used with both brown and blue waggons)

From the early 1990s the Rc locomotives became blue as a result of a separation of the passenger- and cargodivisions of the State Railways.
The passenger locomotives were painted blue and fitted with a new logo to separate them from the cargohauling locomotives that was mainly orange at this time.
The Cargolocomotives were painted green and black with Green Cargo painted on the sides when revised.

Today the Rc locomotives look a bit different depending on who operates the locomotives.

    Looks good!
Will the signal to the right be able to blink as well?

At least in Sweden, the signal works in different ways:

Red (second from the top) = Stop
Green top lights and green third from the top blinks = Go, but expect next signal to show stop
Green top lights and bottom white blinks = Go, and expect next signal to show go as well

However You are doing a fantastic job as it is!
