i wish you could like, make an extra-fare train in this game so these cars would make sense to use
only LODs and dirt/rust maps left to go though!

gimme an opinion on the stainless steel material - I'm not a huge fan of the default ultra-shiny stainless and I think this looks better, but that does mean these cars won't match many existing ones

figured out, after much trial and error, that the default big boy is articulated wrong (it's like a lionel engine), but I managed to hack that system into a real articulation
not gonna have fun making the particle system work right what with the boiler essentially being a bogie but we'll burn that bridge when we get to it I suppose -

making her articulate right is gonna be fun...

That's a PRR Trainphone antenna, and it's going to be an optional accessory. It worked by inducing an electrical current in lineside telegraph wires, which was used as a sort of telephone system before the railroad had managed to buy a radio frequency and use conventional radio.
