Hello, I'm developing some new Skyboxes for Transport Fever 2. I saw that Dex released a Skyboxes Pack on Steam recently, however a few of the comments (and himself) have stated that the Skyboxes are not compatible with NEP2. On the flipside, the Environment Pack that was released has a few Skyboxes that require NEP2.

My main question and concern for this topic is how does one ensure their Skyboxes are compatible with NEP2?

In addition, what exactly makes a Skybox incompatible with NEP2 in the first place?

The sooner we can get to the bottom of this, the sooner they can be released.

    Appreciate any help given.

Hello! Siri has temporarily removed all of her mods from Steam Workshop. She explained the reason here: Siri's Beauties 2. Important! Siri's mods will remain on your computer until you unsubscribe from Siri's Workshop mods. Resubscribing is currently not possible.

I think it is very very important to note to everyone affected by this:

PERIODICALLY BACK UP YOUR STEAM MODS TO PREVENT ISSUES LIKE THIS!

Right now if you have that urban asset mod, go to your steam workshop folder and back up the folder titled " 2188171677 " somewhere, anywhere else but in that folder.

By the way (?): Are the mods on the dubious sites offered for free?

And if so, how do people earn money?

Why do :?:people use other download sites than Modwerkstatt, STEAM, and mod.io? Okay, STEAM and mod.io are annoying. But whatever I can get from the first two ends up on my hard drive. At least I trust them enough not to get anything crap out of my PC!

Only other source I trust is LMGMods.

Everything else gets ignored unless it's someone I know (that's been vetted) from Discord Community that wants help testing their mod and they send it via GDrive.

I found one of my Mods on these dubious websites, but it's not worth the effort needed to get them removed.

I use the Badgerhaxx BH Departure board and another mod (DynamicsDeparture), and for awhile they co-existed with one other. Recently, my save gets failures in the console command while it's running. The error is in the picture of this post.

Is there something I can edit in these two files to make it so they stop tripping over one another? Maybe they are trying to somehow quantify the same value simultaneously and it's causing them to misbehave? Not sure.

Would like if anyone else could assist or share their perspective.

Here is a screenshot of the Console Log:

Here is an actual representation of the Screens not turning on, updating, or any activity whatsoever:

Even if the game runs for hours, the time on clocks that were previously placed remains at "06:59:40". All of the minutes on the countdown do not update either.

    Anyway to fix this?

If you want to edit TPF2 files, it's best to use Notepad++ and set the language to LUA. This makes it easier to find errors. For example, the opening and closing brackets are displayed for each bracket selected with the mouse.

Do you know how to get the nice color coded text for .mdl, .con, and all the other file extensions for TpF2 modding? It only appears for the .lua files by default.

You all may remember this Custom Built Terminal Complex from back in February 2025. I've finally created a Station Overview Video of it; allowing you to traverse through the Terminal as if you were actually there!

Please enjoy the close up and personal Tour!

:) For those that enjoy Detailing, I created a Video showcasing how to use the "Construction Mover" Mod from Steam Workshop by Modder Lollus  :)

It's been released for years, but for a long time I did not use it as I did not understand it very well without a visual aid. Once I learned about all the intricacies, I realized this is truly a game changing mod. It unlocks a ton of potential that is simply not available without it. In fact, I can't imagine going back to playing without it anymore.

Here is the link to Construction Mover.

    Video is below:

    Enjoy!

What would be more helpful (but more arduous to set up) would be to have a Database of Variable Names so that Modders can see what terms have been used already so that we don't have unintentional overwrites from Mods that could release years apart. I have no idea how we would even begin to track this since thousands of Variables can be used in one Mod alone.

Your CPU isn't bad, but your GPU's VRAM is your bottleneck if you have the 8GB VRAM Version of your card especially if you use a bunch of Modded vehicles.

This game uses a massive amount of VRAM to do things. The Fall 2024 Update made VRAM use more intensive according to some users!

I used to have a GTX 1060 that had 6GB VRAM and I kept having your issue.

Once I got a 4070 TI Super (16GB VRAM) this problem went away. Unfortunately, you can't upgrade GPU VRAM, you can only get another GPU.

    Alles Gute!
