The fire station is getting more in shape. The garage is there, the doors are all distinct and can be turned and animated, but that will be a while for now.
Still looking for tips to use multiple parameters for a single return, tips are welcome.

The cross-dock only needs a few images for the UI and then will be separated from my test and trial data and then that's done for the moment.
The mod will offer various choices for offices/roof/entry/signage and dock numbering. Plus the design of the building being so suited for that yellow&red, also a choice for Panalpina-DSV or DHL.
Some images;
Dang; I need to switch of those anoying popup tips still, anyone got a quick trick?
The cross-dock is available for the download now. Please let me now your opinions!
The fire station meanwhile also has made some progress, the 3D of the tower is done.
As well the mesh for the modded fire-station as it stood on my H0 layout is progressing well, but that I'll keep as a surprise.

In the game settings, at the bottom of the 4th tab, Guide-System (in german, don't know how its called in english).
Good progress today here, looks like the truck garage AND the standard fire station from Vollmer will become available little later this week.
They will be available within the cross-dock mod, of course as separate configurations. The release will also have some minor technical improvements for the cross-dock, mainly consistency thingies.
But I'm in doubt whether the DHL red should be a bit more red and less pink. Or shall we call that the effect of UV sunlight on red paint ?
So great!! Thank you so much. Having those buildings from the model railway in TPF2 is simply .
The cross-dock mod has just been updated.
Modern Vollmer facility buildings- Vollmer 5605, 5607, 3759 and more
It now includes the truck garage, fire station and a warehouse as well.
The extra large fire station as it stood on my layout is getting more shape too, today I gave it some terrain, some attributes need to be added later.
First now I want to get some trucks driving in and out of the garages. So looks like calculating and writing edges, or can I use import a mesh or helper for that so I can more graphically draw the routes?
The heli is a, far from finished, Bolkow 105. Back in my days Rocco had a 1/87 scale model of such and that I painted fire engine red. I didn't succeed to get the rear stabilizer rotor to rotate, only the main rotor was powered with a small engine, of course it didn't fly. Not sure how far I will take that in TpF2 on this one.
First tests on the use of the fire station as depot are running, garages 1-5 are active. On some edges it struggles a bit, guess I'll need to review the tangents on those, right??
My tenders fit nicely, only for the 8x8 the stopping point needs to be a bit off the middle, for the small vehicles, like the G-wagon I consider to make the garage to have two stops in one lane.
Some images of a first dispatch (triggered by a simple manual release of all routes).
Ahhh, so great!!
Really nice idea and so far implementation.
I loved the BO 105 back in those days and was a bit sad about it's replacement by Eurocopters. We also had a big 105 scale model (stand model with rotating rotors; not flyable). Since I was sad about the decomissioning of Hueys as well, I bought a six channel flyable scale Huey which stands on my sideboard now and is ready to fly whenever I want to make some turns.
Both, the BO 105 ("Christoph") and the UH-1, used to fly over our house because we lived in the flight corridors of a hospital (BO 105) and airfields (UH-1, Chinooks and Blackhawks). To see it now, together with the Vollmer construction kits in TPF2, is so wonderful.
Thanks, dview

A Chinook is in my collection already, I thought of using it for the fire practice but it needs more than just a bit of fine tuning. So I'll see probably I'll go for something more ready for use.
Hi all,
My large fire station made some progress again, there are now 15 terminals operational, #15 is meant for supply deliveries.
The middle (tower) lane is entered from the front, this makes that the vehicle must make a unrealistic 180 (as reverse parking is not an option). Perhaps I should make it enter from the back, like the others, and then in the building shift lane. What do yo think??
The interior is starting to look better too, there is a bit of space between the images and the windows which results in a nice 3D effect.

Testing on the fire station goes quite well, some minor issues so fare only. The one I can't get rid of yet is that some meshes aren't visible in close view on certain angles. (see last image not showing the parking lot wall nor stripes) Anybody got ideas?
Besides that it now has a larger staff parking, fence and various choices for trees. Some lights will probably also fit. For the backyard I intend to add some swap containers.
Cargo spawns to the bedroom area, the capacity is therefore very limited, but that is intentional. A fire department is not a stock warehouse .
I've made water to be a cargo type and that is being delivered to the station in the rear (un-)load zone.
Also a different variant for use as a truck service station is getting form.

Holy canolli! this is just fabulous!!!
I am so much looking forward to this.
by the way: will those Mercedes Benz Offroaders (the fire chief & military police version) be part of that package or did you create them on your own?

That is indeed the aim, maybe separate from the fire station. But it still needs a little tuning on rims and blue lights.
It would be great to have them as plain assets as well!
Thanks so far for all that work!
I made some new rims and tyres for the Benz, these work better.
Coming soon
Rounding up on the Benz, one question; Has anyone already created a category for Fire departments/vehicles/equipment or so?
And if so do we have an icon for it?
Easy answer: No.
Advanced users: Unfortunately not yet, even though it totally would make sense! For the moment, all such vehicles are "stored2 within the "misc" category. It's not very user friendly, however it saves up another icon that pops up in the asset section. I think for most users, the asset section is quiet flooded with icons. So all in all, maybe saving up some time and push it into misc as well?
Just my two cents
