HEY THERE,
This idea sounds so fun! I was looking at the screenshot and the small residential area looks really nice, even in its early stages.
Keep up the good work.

Update: A few days ago i started drawing the first "state border" within the Waldland project. One of the places where the border lies is at this little brook a few kilometers north of Rarstatt im Wald. On the left side of the Brook is the state of Bayern, while on the right side will be the second state (of three states in total) featured in my project. The state of Sachsen.
I know that it's been weeks since i last sended an update here on this forum. I apologize for the waiting

We are quite a patient folks hanging around here...

Update: Another month has almost passed. But that doesn't mean work has stopped here on Project Waldland. As of a week or two ago, summer vacation started here in the Netherlands so with more free time i have started building a small village which is located only a kilometer away from the border with Sachsen (As seen on the above screenshots i send). The population of the village will be around 175 to 200 people.
Most of the (main) roads are already placed. But buildings, vegetation and such things are far from finished. Here are some screenshots of the current state of the village. With also a special view from the cemetery

... and an unknown village.

-
Small Update: After a week's vacation in the United Kingdom, work has resumed on Project Waldland.
The main change is that the “unknown village” has finally received its name. “Schmalbach”. Named after the small brook located near the village, Schmalbach is located in a moorland and less than a kilometer away on the border with Sachsen.
There are currently negotiations for the village to join the still newly created Landkreis Rarstatt. But local politicians and some residents have other plans for it. Therefore, a debate is scheduled soon that will determine which “Kreis” Schmalbach will join. Residents can also participate in this debate.

There is a long history of told debate. Since decades, both Kreise Panschwitz-Kuckau and Rostig claimed Schmalbach (the village with largest deposits of plywood in Sachsen) to be under their possession, but the locals resisted to accept any of those authorities. Now, Haras Nagewknecht's Party organized a plebiscite - connected to next weekend general elections - to decide this open questions. Let us wait and we will see the result.

Andreas
