  • Hi everyone,

I just finished the first public beta version of Terra2Fever3, my easy-to-use editor that automatically downloads the heightmap, real towns, forests and fields based on OpenStreetMap data for any selected area on the planet, and generates all files ready to be imported into the map editor from your game directory.

Any comments, suggestion, bug reports welcome!

  • thank u!

  • Gery Greyhound, I am receiving the following error message.

It looks like that Windows' ransomware protection ("Controlled folder access") is enabled on your computer and it most likely blocks Terra2Fever3 from creating its folder in Documents, it basically makes the Documents folder invisible to my app for which I didn't prepare it. Please launch the app again and let it download the next update (version 0.9.5) which has a fix for that.

  • Ok, but there are already a few mods doing this, eg this .

There wasn't an easy-to-use map-making tool for Transport Fever 2, so I started building one over the summer while waiting for TF3 to come out. I already finished most of the basics, like automatically downloading heightmaps and OSM layers, refining coastlines, adding forests, and so on. All I had to do was wait for the game to launch on September 29 so I could adapt everything to TF3. I just didn't realize someone else had already released their own tool a few days earlier...

But from what I can tell, their tool offers more advanced options for people who want to fine-tune every detail, while mine is all about making the process as simple and intuitive as possible for the average user. So I think they offer different enough experiences that there's room for both. iPhone and Android coexist just fine, too, they simply cater to different audiences.:)
