A new project beckons!
For some time I've been thinking about revamping an old project of mine, the "Hbi to Hbis" pack.
It was my first project where I really tried to weather and grime up my textures. Truth told, I've
cheated.
No, I didn't hijack anyone else's textures, but I've used a reallife photo of a Hbis and cut it up and
fused it into the texture. The end result was - as far as I was concerned - pretty good. Since then,
my skills have been developing and I wanted to get back to that same project.
Unfortunately, the vanilla "Hbi" is mapped too sparsely - meaning, the developers made the most
efficient use of the texture and mapping, which resulted in many parts being mirrored - making
it almost unusable for repaints. However, since the aformentioned project (november 2014) I've
gained some partners in crime and I've asked one of them to remap the vanilla Hbi a bit so that
it can be properly retextured. So, at this point a very big thanks to @Bandion for doing a bit of
remapping that transforms the whole model!
So, enough boring talk. First of the line is a very odd one to find anywhere near my workshop.
It's clean...
This will be something like a ongoing project - so more will follow!
