sind die Scheinwerfer nicht bisschen zu klein
Depends, the one you've pictured is the E 95 in its early years, later on all those old lamps were replaced by more modern ones:

Of course, if you need help just hollar. I've got many projects, but with good templates and stuff I can squeeze ya in.
No sweat dude. These ideas go in the chest and they'll come out when they have to.
If you want something easier :
Weiss nur das sie fälschlich für die schwerste deutsche E-Lok gehalten wird
The E 95 was not the heaviest German electric, but it is the longest. And when it came out (1927), it was also the most powerful electric - maybe even the most powerful German locomotive at that time. At least I can't think of any German locomotive more powerful at that time.
Alles anzeigen@Cadoras im getting scared!
Do you have a magic hat of "Old German Electric Engines"? Let me guess....World Wide Web?
Im a bit deterred by the seperation in the middle of the engine...
I dont think it need a "fake boogie" but im not sure...
Maybe only a group in the middle.. lets call it "centre of rotation" of every part..
Well i think i will try to build her someday
*Created a Folder "E95" on my desktop*
Trying hard atm to improve my mapping skills.... cant give any crappy mapping to you
I've accumulated some stuff over the years.
But the "fake boogie" theory: if that doesn't work, couldn't you (as a last ditch attempt) not make the two halves into two separate locomotives? Make it so that the two halves couple very close so it looks like they are conjoined. Of course it isn't the most elegant solution (it will be in fact two separate locomotives), but it could work... or not?
While we're at it, the E 91:
The E95:
I don't know what you're doing @Bandion, or what kind of mushroom you using - I want it too. That's almost 3 models in no-time.
You'd better rename this thread to "Altbau E-loks"....
Cough cough
@Cadoras you asked for the paintjob? You can color up anything i will build here After all we just need to find someone who will map the caos i produce
BTW i would suggest you can paint anything of the E18 and to solve the problem with the chassis you could draw something nice in any part of the texture and i will
later pull the mapping over it. Dont know if you could follow my thougts atm.... Its a bit like drag and drop (and pull and push in position) on your texture...
If I understand correctly, you mean I make a texture first, and then you (or someone else) will map the respective parts out of the texture? That ain't going to work I'm afraid. I need to test the whole shabang ingame to get it right, that means I need to have the actual model ingame and mapped.
I (unfortunately) do not know how to map and/or model, although I will learn that sometime.
@marsianer112 @Cadoras : looks all three quiet similar
Blasphemy.... That's saying the BR 18.4 looks the same as the BR 50. You'd better be careful before the Altbau-fans come to haunt you.
Sorry boys, that's clearly an E 16. And @Bandion : OMG, keep'm coming.
So I take it as a 'yes', you'll do the ÖBB version? ...Guess I get to go update my ÖBB List
But of course.
Actually, that one looks pretty cool, too...
Be careful mate - people have died in the ozeanblau/elfenbein debates. The E 18 in those colors sparked an outrage amongst the Liebhaber.
One simply does not say you like this - you whisper it. Underneath a blanket. In a bunker. Seven miles deep. And you keep the picture next
to this, this and this.
- Ozeanblau/Elfenbein is like midgetporn, it's not for everyone. But the ones who do like it, will go great lengths to see it live.
Cheap Doug Stanhope rip-off
Yeah. All off them. Including this one: https://upload.wikimedia.org/w…ia/commons/4/45/118ob.jpg
Just to piss people off.
Jesus Christ, if this doesn't stop now I'll die blushing.
My skills with the "brush" are still very much in development. Check my first (unupdated) filebase entries - they are living proof of that statement. With every project I learn new tricks. And I love to go full retard on these projects. This project will be the first time I'll do an electric, so that's very cool.
Edit: Oh @Cadoras - havent seen your post. I realy already thought about it - in the Request have been drawings for that transporter too. And actually it processes really fast (when you see the few steps and an already nice model... ^^).
That would be great - it would surely get the most of this little gem of a model.
I love your work dude. May I be so cheeky to ask if you're going to do a goods version of this fantastic version? It would be perfect as a small goods carrier.
Feel free to answer in German by the way.
Na 100% Realismus
Und es gab nur 3 05 und die 003 gibts ja noch nicht als Modell
Also kann man nur 05 001 und 05 002 bestellen
Well, if he has got a "fetten Geldbeutel" in real life, and shove some coins to Grimes, Bandion and the Royal Painters Guild, I can probably knock out a 05 069 with a Hello Kitty livery...
Concerning different colors:
The 001 and 002 always had the same color, being "Weinrot" - but according to Kampen/Wenzel ("Die Baureihe 03.10") the color changed in 1942 (002) and 1943 (001) to grey. Probably the blueish grey we've seen on other streamliners. After the war the original colors were restored.
We must not forget that both 001 & 002 already had lost part of their "Verkleidung" in 1941 (002) and 1942 (001), probably to make maintenance easier during wartime. The color was probably changed to try to make them less visible from the air. After the war they were put out of commission for some time before being revised in 1947/1948 (?), that's when the original colors were restored I believe.
I believe that most of the color variants, as portrayed by the modelling companies, are fictional or suggested liveries.
Looks very nice.
