In my opinion, but it's Ragno's final decision, you don't need to redo the whole model which is still very good.

Just openly admit where the base material comes from in the mod description, put a nice big and notable link to Ragno's original mod, add an image of his mod, thank him for the references.

And if Ragno accepts these terms, you are free to go without resentments.

This is really not cool. I immediately knew something was off, that model was too similar to the one of the original modder. I hope you asked him for permission because if not this is despicable behaviour.
I know the drawings are hard to find, but you should, like I do and other 99.9% of others do, ask for permission. I once ran around various Discord servers just to find the original author to ask for a repaint, let alone copying the meshes. I am sure that the original author had no problem in giving you the authorization to make this mod as he is an active and easy to contact member of the Italian Community on Discord. Or you could have asked me or RaptorArk, which is much more active on this site. You had plenty of possibilities, enough said.

Do not make the same mistake again, and it would be nice for you to say 1) the truth and 2) you are sorry. This is bare minimum of decency. Thank you.

Oh damn I have been neglecting this thread.

Well it's too late to participate in the "Italy is broken" discussion but... Let's say that unfortunately, just like many countries, there is A LOT of disrespect to the "res publica" (latin for "public thing, the State" also the origin of "Republic") in Italy. Public utilities are often seen owned by nobody amd not by everyone. What I mean is that when using a public utility you do not need to care, to make sure it's working properly for the next use. Who cares if I clog the toilet, it's someone else's problem (which is no one in the eye of the public but actually is the operator which will need to repair the toilet).

Sorry for the off-topic rambling, it happens all the time to Raptor so I might as well join in! Alongside Soccer, rambling it's Italy's second national sport :)

    BACK TO TOPIC

University tests are almost over, and I'm slowly back to mod development. My next masterpiece will be the Ale840/le840/lebc840.

From these me and RaptorArk could develop various models like Ale660 etc. Stay tuned!

    of course!

Anyway, a small update (sometimes I forget to talk here too!) I just got bored of trying to fix the ATR100 so it will be postponed.

To make up for this loss, me and RaptorArk are developing the Ale840 family of EMUs, which will be VERY interesting! Stay tuned for more info.

Bonus material on Discord, check out our Italian server as I prefer to stay there most of the time:saint:

Happy new year to everyone! My community-oriented communications are more and more following Discord, so have a look there for the latest infos and giggles.

All I can say now is that new content is going well and something will be released pretty soon while I finish the ATR100.

    !!!IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!

We think that this thread is still part of Transport Fever 1 side of the website and it feels awkward to talk about Transport Fever 2 mods here.

This is why I started a new thread here: (New) Italian Project Hub .

Thanks to everyone that joined in this thread, from its humble beginnings all the way up to now!

Jump on board, the final destination is the new Transport Fever 2 thread!

And here we are, landed on the Transport Fever 2 side of the website! It was awkward to talk about mods for this game on the other thread, originally made for Transport Fever 1.

We will pick up the discussions left from here: (Old) Italian Project Hub - moved to Transport Fever 2 side of the website.

Make sure to follow this new thread for the next updates about our mods and community events (whatever they might be)!

I hope you all have a wonderful day, and I'll see you next time.

Carrozze passeggeri dagli anni 70 a oggi

Ti direi quello rosso-bianco, quello verde-bianco, quello bianco-giallo, quello bianco-blu, quello azzurro-blu, quello giallo-blu ecc:D

This week has ben tough but I'm still working on the ATR 100.

I've almost finished the last main texture, I'll need to do the doors and then coding.

Next there is a small pack of 2 vehicles, then maybe a little surprise (for Christmas), then probably the ETR 200 if RaptorArk doesn't start his sooner.

If so, I'd like to retry the Ale660, the OGs will remember it.

Finally, I'll try the Ale724 at the end of this Odyssey.

In the meantime I'm trying to do a small repaint of a Class 66 of the Egyptian Railways.

Oh since we're at it if anyone has info in contemporary passenger carriages PLEASE contact me because I can't find info on them anywhere.

    Thank you!

Hey! It's been a long time, I struggle already to keep track of university, mod development, family business while a pandemic is raging on ':D

About the ATR 100 mod, it's going full steam ahead and I wanted to share a little bit of progress I've made:

3D models are pretty much done, if needed I'll add some details if they can not be rendered with the normal map.

Here you can see early texture testing, there's still lots to do.

The models are surprisingly light, only 4,000 tris give or take for this one, 9,000 for the carriages. Sure, the roof could get some love and double the tris count, that would make it smoother but I had to start from a MSTS model so... Polygons were really a threat back then.

Well, I'll head to bed for now, see you next time!

    Now this is interesting news.

It's a problem that even I have recorded, but hardly anyone else got. I've fixed it on my end by converting the .dds textures in .tga (setting them upside-down before, obviously).

I have no idea why it happens or why only when a pack gets updated.

Could you share the details on how you tested the textures and how you came up with the idea of the materials? It could be really useful, thank you.
