Gordon Dry , I currently have Enzojz's shader enhancement mod loaded before NEP on the same card and have not seen a conflict between the two. I just tried without it, you will still have to use it unless you want to have a lot of white bridges.

Fishing poles!!!!!! Sims everywhere rejoice at the thought of being able to drink a beer and catch dinner. This is looking very nice, may have to add some boats somewhere.

JoFi If you use Chrome as your browser, it can translate a lot of things automatically for you, but Double Girder Overhead Crane.

Delrene, it will work with some buildings, trains, trucks, planes, and I believe boats(haven't converted any so I can't say). Not everything will work using only the converter with out additional work, sometimes just rewording one or two lines of code. Other things, need a lot of reworking. Just be sure to keep an original copy of anything you try to mess around with, keeps you from having to redownload it again.

Hello Kwirl77 ,
I also tried to convert the part, but it did not work, and it stopped with an error message when I tried to convert. Did you edit the files before you sent them through the converter?
For what ever reason, this mod does that with me as well. The transfer_log.lua shows up in the file. I removed the converter's mod.lua and renamed the original as normal and it works.

Hit The Road Jack
An old acquaintance informed me of my then wife's same train of thought while I was deployed to Iraq. I have now been happily divorced for 10 years.

In the Con files (res > construction > asset > ...crane.con ) starting at line 80 through line 86, I made it look like this:
Codeif params.TGR_overhead_crane_collision == 0 then result.colliders = {colliderutil.createBox ( {0.0, 0, 0}, {0, 0 + 0 * params.TGR_overhead_crane_size, 0} )} else result.colliders = falseThis will allow you to throw a track beside a very narrow street under it, or a narrow street, or two tracks. The center line (where the hook hangs from end to end) on it however, will still throw a collision error. You will have to leave the collision as yes to get it to work, a no answer results in an internal error box. The terrain Align can be yes or no. This isn't the absolute best solution, but it is a start that gets the crane useable. If you completely remove this section entirely, you get the error box. Removing everything about the colliders causes the game to crash.

with a chrome finish it becomes apparent the detail level isn't very high, but I do not want to add (much) more mesh and using a normal map to compensate all this... I won't be able to make it smooth with that.
In game the zoom level is usually much less so it is less obvious.
What's your opinions? Should I skip or proceed this model?
If you created one of the crazy striped/camo paint jobs like on concept cars for testing, you could easily hide some of the roughness, and the concept camo is meant to break up the body lines when viewed. But if it is intended for an auto ambulance load, scuff it up, maybe dent a side or corner in, and call it a wreck. As it fits into the time period I am going for, and is the only more modern sports car entry, I will say proceed with an admission of being a little biased.

BTW; is that Liebherr LTM crane available for download somewhere? I cant find it in my collection yet.
I haven't seen any truck mounted cranes as of yet. Liebherr has made a super wide variety of cranes; crawler, offroad, heavy truck mounted, and tower. Here are the only cranes that I am familiar with in TPF2.
Two of these are super close in their color scheme to Leibherr. I have seen some companies like Mammoet, paint their cranes and other equipment to match their company color schemes. There is also a railroad crane that Jansch made, however I couldn't successfully get it converted due to an error. I think from the looks it is based on a Liebherr rig.

[user = '44757'] Mad Hatter [/ user] has built appropriate modules for truck stations on Steam (unfortunately I haven't gotten around to looking at them inGame):

I have used most of them. They work okay, but I'm not the biggest fan of them at stations where you may use multiple lines on one platform as materials can get mixed up. The crane unfortunately will chow material covering the tracks. I also went a different way now for truck terminals since I am using freestyle industries to create my own looks.

Graffiti is an inevitable occurrence in society. As such, I think if a photo exists of a car tagged with something that was skillful, it has a place in TPF for the realism. When I worked as a conductor on a road switch, me and my brakeman would criticize and rate the graffiti based on the skill and size or the "painting". Have seen some amazing artwork on the entire side of full size boxcars and reefers.

I know it became a common thing to say for some Americans, however there are even some Europeans who feel that there is no American lack of knowledge; -) ... no need to discredit the country you may live in, especially not in terms of THW. Surely dont need to know about it in the US

(i know, quite a big topic actually
but felt it's necessary to mention at least)
cheers!Thank you. What THW can do in Germany, and abroad is amazing that it is under one structured organization and isn't a military branch. Here in the US, you would have to look at FEMA, US Army Corps of Engineers, US Coast Guard, EPA, countless state level agencies, and the National Guard to be able to assemble the same capabilities. A caveat would be some of our biggest city fire departments do have a lot of the capabilities, minus the engineering and repair capacities to fill many of the rolls. I'll quit highjacking SM1's post now.

do you mean this one?I tried to convert that with the convertor. But yeah, no luck on getting to work.
