There has been a request for an aircraft depot beyond the maps borders that would serve as a mock remote destination for aircraft to allow them to serve longer routes.
You are about the only one on here who has built an airport yet - maybe this would be a quick in-between project for You? It might be a fairly easy thing to do, as it would probably only involve a little bit of scripting and tweaking of an existing airport .con: if you move the runways, buildings etc. about 1-2km away from the reference point, the airport could legally be built on the map while being turned about the Z axis so as to having all its lanes, structures etc. at some point far beyond the maps limits.

City Airport Update
Runway markings, passenger terminal.... coming out quite nicely.
Only few cosmetic changes needed! Maybe scaling it a bit up!
Main building is waiting for textures and to be exported into the game.

Quick update!
Increasing apron space and adding more passengers waiting areas - preparing space for new, double capacity terminals.

Today work started on the new terminal module
all the work for the layout, lanes and paths of the airport has been finished Cockpit views while landing are nothing short of amazing

More modern redesign of the terminal building...? ...any thoughts? suggestions..?
Here seen from the perspective of arriving from runway
Passenger street entrance is in the back.On the sides.. connection to other terminals and a window while no terminals present. Jetway will attach from second floor (hopefully)!
