A 2nd mod will be available from my end after all. This is a simple mod providing the Vanilla characters in an asset for free placement.
The mod has a few nice features though. Of course random selections are available but also an option to randomize the person size slightly and, imho, a very useful feature to fine-tune the positioning after placing the characters on the map. The models are available in 6 different poses.
Enjoy!
PS I hope that this mod becomes kind-a obsolete once Ingo-1111 has come to making his Personen assets available for TpF3. ![]()
So, I'm really looking forward to all your mods. Unmatched in variety and combined with attention to detail.
Especially the car mods. In the TPF3 concept, in the extraordinary super deluxe edition, there’s the book "All Vehicles in TPF3." Cars aren’t included—probably because they don’t have an economic function. For modelers, though, they’re already fundamentally important.
I still consider cars as vehicles (like airships, too). Unfortunately, they once again have the status of moving nameless pixels, just like the animals, for example.
So, I’m glad if your vehicle fleet pops up again in TPF3.
Maybe—it’s also possible—to devote attention to my favorite brand, "Ford"—especially cars from the ’90s onwards in the future. They seem far too neglected to me, just like in real car models from m**box or ma**tte—or is that due to licensing issues? I really don’t know anything about that.
Will your mods also be available here in the forum or, like Ingo's mods, on mod.io only?

Of course they'll be on here, this will remain to be my main Go-to place ![]()
Lovely! Then I'll wait because I do not want to depend on external platforms. Experiences with lost mods in the Steam workshop made me change my mind. ![]()
I have Work In Progress on two mods.
First one is a TF3 version of my remote airfield, for TF3 it comes with a new extra challenge, vehicle maintenance. I don't expect that aircraft will return in any decent form of maintenance when they were sent thousands of km out. So I figured some maintenance station similar to the ones for cars, trains and ships is going to be essential. I think I just got the basis for that working:
I also started my version on a Vanilla cars asset, of course I aim to include all the possible features, so it will take a while to complete that.
Oh yes, one of my essential mods for building an airport in the first place...
Hi m8! Just checked your T3s ingame and unfortunately the menu is more inconvenient than ist was before, but it could be reason of a console optimized game.
As you see, both buttons/tiles are too large and could be way smaller in my opinion. Also the window could be way bigger (in height) because the current height requires a lot of scrolling which can be annoying, especially because of this very thin scroll bar (standard in TPF3 and looks also console optimized (no mouse to scroll, but stick or pad)) which is not easy to hit.
I don't know if the window and button sizes can be changed in any kind, but if(!) they can, it could be worth checking and changing it.
... both buttons/tiles are too large ... the window could be way bigger ...
Yes valid points, unfortunately those aren't things I can adjust.
I don't think the buttons themselves are too big, but there's too much space between them.
For the window sizing I hope VacuumTube can make his resizable parameter window for TF3 to fix that.
Also with the now dark background the small icon images aren't showing as clear as in TF2. I fear that might become a thing for the repaint mods ... but again there's not much I can do. I tried larger icons but the drawback on the overall size is then imho too much.
Too bad, but this looks way better!
I saw that there is a mod to change the UI's color. Could be helpful but also even not, especially if you concentrate on black or white and then someone uses purple, blue or any other color. 🤷♂️
I also hope for a UI influencing mod because the available settings are not enough. Yes, you can reduce window and text sizes, but not the small scrollbars that are the weakest point.
Too bad, but this looks way better!
I've dropped you a PM, let me know what you think of this alternative.
Some progress on my take of vanilla cars assets, the first 2 models are about done.
A minor update for the TF3 VW T3 today, Volkswagen T3 Base Pack
It corrects the random steer angle calculation for the assets.
I've also added extent boxes for the driving vehicles.
Hi, as always, great work, and now for TPF3 as well.
However, I think it would make a lot of sense to start a new thread for all TPF3 mods in the appropriate Transport Fever 3 section, so things don’t get mixed up here.
A new set of front lights for the TF3 Mercedes E-class ![]()
Awesome!! The new light effects very well used!
What about the Mercedes logo? Will there be none?
For the character asset I have an update ready, it adds vanilla rotation options and vanilla object snapping. Thanks Rico S. and DeBorg | Chris for the feedback.
But looking at it makes me wonder if perhaps the mod settings should also have a rotation (over the z-axis) available that allows you to change the z rotation after placement (when the check box is marked)?
The update for the character asset is now available in the filebase
Surface snapping and vanilla rotation options are now included.
