Doesn't work for me I downloaded the new TFGM and Cost mod, but when activated (in a normal or legacy mode), there is no possibility to "edit config" when right-clicking as it was possible before.
This mod only works when activated in the normal way. By default everything is free.
Then configuration edit from TFGM does not work with new mods because the new format has no support for this. You can still edit the config file manually by open it in the Train Fever\mods\gwinda_cost_mod_3\res\scripts\cost_mod_config.lua file. After the mod has been enabled in TFGM, you still need to activate it in TF.
-
I have activated the two mods in TFGM in both way legacy mod and standard mod.
When i activate them in legacy mod they wont show up in the in-game mod manager, and when i activate them in the normal mod the show up in the in-game menu,
But they dont work, nothing is for free and my trains are not timeless
PS i downloaded the new cost mod version
-
Timeless isn't converted yet and the only way for it to work is to use the Legacy mode, which isn't recommended because it modifies all Vanilla files. Any Legacy enabled mods won't show up in TF manager because it is enabled in the old format.
The cost mod MUST be enabled in the NON legacy mode because it is converted to the new format. When it shows up inside TF manager you also need to Activate it for a new game, or add it to an old save game. Just enable it in TFGM won't activate it in TF, just make TF aware of it.
I just tried the cost mod here again and it is working perfectly well.
-
I've excatly done that, activated the cost mod in the NON legacy mod and activated it in game too, but it doesnt work.
-
Yes, I've also done it this way, activated in a non legacy mod set my own cost factors, saved, activated in the game and with no effect...
-
Are you creating a new game or loading a saved game?
-
I created a new one
-
It is the same when starting a new one or loading some older.
-
I have no clue of why it doesn't work for you guys.
I have attached a debug version here.
1. Start TFGM and uninstall the previous cost_mod.
2. Install and enable this one.
3. Open the console window (the black window icon far to the right on the toolbar).
4. Start TF.
5. Create a new game, Activate the cost_mod and press start.
6. When the game has loaded, close TF.
7. Copy the debug output from the console window and send it to me. -
Sir yes Sir!
-
Sooo, any solution?
-
I have updated the install instructions (See first post). I hope this will bring clarity in how to install and activate the mod.
-
It's working! But only when done manually, TFGM does not copy the main.lua file into the mods directory (I have no clue about coding, hope it is some useful feedback). But whatever, it is working now, thank you very much!!!

Cost_mod v3.2 for TF 5541

Released Cost mod v3.3
* Updated for TF 7753
* Added UI Configuration script for TFGM
* Added factor for placeable assets -
Hey guys.
Is there a way to install this cost mod via TFMM? When I drag&drop the zip-file, TFMM does its job. But I cannot found any config.lua to modify. I looked in Train Fever/mods/gwinda_cost_mod_3 and in Train Fever/res/config. Any ideas where to find the config-file?
EDIT
I found a description from mediziner, but this seems not working anymore. When I try to configure it with the lua-console, everytime I get "module "cost_mod" not found. I additionally try "Cost mod", "gwinda_cost_mod_3" and "gwinda_cost_mod". Still not working. -
lua console is not required anymore as it is a very old system to use the mod.
TFMM unfortunately does not copy the config.lua file from the root directory of the mod.
You can just copy the cost mod directly to the mods/ folder in the Train Fever directory as workaround. -
-
The modification does not have a res/ folder Just keep the same structure as in the original zip file.
Thus in the mod directory create a config folder and place the config.lua in there. My proposal was to actually just extract everything from the zip to the corresponding mod folder in the mods/ directory
