My next truck mod is making some progress. It is the Iveco Eurotech, still in an early stage, the first vehicle just arrived in my model editor.
Bko mods - mainly road vehicles, occasionally other stuff

looks good, I like the truck
-
Wow, lovely! I love the wheels and that you can see the screws... just a lovely detail
-
A first 2 cab variants for the Iveco.
Also had a quick look if it can become an Eurocargo with just some scaling down, it will need a few different parts like for the bumper, I think it's ok. Probably though for a separate later mod.

Wunderbar hatte diesen Truck damals von Wiking in der Sixt Version und dann ist er mir kaputt gegangen.

Also nur eventuell springt ja irgendwann einmal sowas bei den Basteleien raus, dann wärst du mein persönlicher Held

I've added the lower lods for the Eurotech and a few extra options. Next I'll have a look at some trailers for it, probably I'll make a few new ones to include as well.
-
I like the rims, they look good
-
Just for fun I made a new truck delivery version for the Iveco, it has the spare tyre on the 5th wheel and the roof spoiler is sitting on a pallet on the chassis.
Maybe it can become the preview mod.

How about a few racing trucks?

How about a few racing trucks?
hmmm ... honestly DTM cars are more likely ... but that as said will be a lot of work .. maybe one day. as my time is limited ... if only I could retire from my day job tomorrow
-
DTM cars are also very much welcome, as we now can build something, that looks like a racing track and the cars behave a bit like racing cars.

One of the new trailer variants I have in mind is this glass transporter.
The trailer is mostly done, the interior misses the clamps to hold the cargo safely in place and the cargo itself.
All parts are setup to create proper animations, but I'm not sure yet how/if I will do these. Those can add up to a lot of work, I mean the trailer door should open, then the trailer can be lowered and the truck can drive forward leaving the cargo on .. the drive lane .. which then just disappears. Also the loading and unloading will need to depend on whether the truck is loaded or not, so really a lot of work.
And I fear that for a driving version it will look a bit stupid with the way the truck stops work. And on an asset it also doesn't make much sense either.
Perhaps I'll make it that the curtains open so it can be (un-)loaded from above, but then animating rolling up the curtain (when there is a logo on it) is also easier said then done.
-
Looks nice - and I do feel Your pain with the cargo animations. Those run into ingame limitations all too often.
If You are looking for an easy way to animate a curtain, try this:
With the parts origin on its upper hinge, have the part scaled 1,1,1 when fully closed and scale it down to 1,1,0 (xyz) when fully opened. That way, the logo will fold and unfold somewhat credibly. If You scale it to 1,1,.2 or so, You may have some parts of the curtain still visible. Turn and rotate as required.
-
Thanks DH-106 , however the tarp will need to roll-up forwards (so unloading by crane is possible). I have a mesh with the tarp open for 95%, for an animation I'd probably make multiple meshes so I can move them forward therewith hiding a bit each time in the front frame which is slightly larger then the tarp, every 300mm forward I then use a new shorter mesh. but that needs then 20 meshes to do so.
-
Why not add a scaling animation?

Why not add a scaling animation?
Scaling is OK, but only when the there is a plain tarp, when there is a logo or other print on the tarp it won't look good. The logo should slowly disappear into the frame without it getting smaller/narrower.
-
A curtain with a print can also be pushed together.

Yes true, for a normal tautliner/curtainsider trailer I'd find such good enough, using a curtain mesh with rimples and scaling it down over the x-axle while it is scaling up over the y-axle.

"Pilkington" is one of the most well knoiwn glass transporters. At least from what I think-

The glass trailer is animated for doors open and close events
