Hello everyone, Yesterday my game started to crash suddenly with the message "An error has occurred" and "heap corruption detected" on the stdout.txt. I thought it could be a mod I'm working on, so I remove it from the savegame, but problem remains. Someone knows if there could be another mod falling or what would cause the heap error?
Thanks.
I add the stdout.txt file
stdout.txt
Heap corruption detected

You have removed some mods from the savegame, but they are necessary because they were used.
Something is missing:
eat1963_roundhouse_fix_2
jansch_roundhouse_1
in this order
Take a look at these underlying resource errors:
[RESOURCE ERROR] Referenced model not found: ' ' in 'vehicle/train/MZA_WD_101.mdl (key: groupFileName)'
whether all mods are available here and also "NOT" in a double directory.
Please check this mod for completeness:
standard/Delicias_Trace_small_one way.lua not found in res/config/streets but was saved with savegame
some vehicles and roads are saved in the savegame but can no longer be loaded as a mod.

Or in other words: We have no idea, no cause for the crash can be identified from the stdout.
All the things listed there have nothing to do with the crash.
-
first you should know what a "heap structure" is, then you should identify the source and classify the messages.
This stdout contains 3 fatal errors that lead to a crash because the structure of the already saved data was broken.
Calling thread crashtrace handlers
thread: 3920
(empty)
thread: 3148
(empty)
in this case I guess ground structures due to missing mod!
Just this sentence: WARNING: Unknown/Unsupported format used Bc1RgbaSrgbBlock in file models/asset/YD_TPOLE_MGA.dds
from snowball_powerline_1 is enough to crash or close the game.

The error cause is not obvious, since we only can say the game is accessing invalid memory. This can have various reasons but the issue is very deep in the internal game code.
It can be caused by a mod, maybe not. Still we can not derive from the stdout, which mod it is. The crash message does not contain enough info for that.
Yes there are other messages/warnings in the stdout regarding certain mods. But they where there probably before. It's not very likely they relate to the crash later. Espacially because the lines are not next to each other. (Even if: There might be much time between 2 lines)
The "Heap corruption detected!" error message occured more recently since the last game update. Still we cannot tell if the update created a new bug or if just the crash info was extended and the same error earlier just resulted in "An error just occurred."

We dont know if the savegame data is corrupted, the message just says that the memory of the running game gets corrupted.
A missing mod usually creates other crash messages.

The only chance to find out more would be, if you specify more, what means suddenly.
Is it happening directly while/after loading the game?
Is it happening after a certain time?
Or at a certain map location?
Is it reproducible?
What did you recently do in the savegame?

It Crash after some minutes, wherever the camera is. Last thing I did before It started to fail was testing a new con file I did for an assets.
I have started a new savegame only with this last mod, and seems its working. So maybe my mod is not the problem

Try isolating the time it crashes. Always the same date? Or independent of simulation? Does sth happen at that point? (town expansion, vehicle arriving, ...)
-
Yes I have check it, it always crash at same date.
Always the same date?
-
Maybe your mod in combination with another mod is the cause.
In which direction is your mod going? Tracks, stations, textures? and note the displayed error messages.

The Problem is solved. It was a AI Car from the Set with a wrong configs (id to high).

Hello everyone,
I have in a couple of savegames experienced lost of crashes whit the in game error massage "An error has occurred" and inside stdout.tx "heap corruption detected". Since this problem keeps coming back while playing, I am wondering which AI car mod and witch car was causing the problem mentioned in MaikC post on October 16th.

As it stands in the startposting, not a released one.
