Hello everybody.
A request for you expert modders!
I'd like to activate an American tram (only one) in European scenarios. Even permanently.
Is there a way you can tell me?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.
Many thanks, regards.

You have to open the "mod.lua".
There you have to find the line "tags".
There should be "usa","xyz","xyz", .
In that line only if you want you have to change "usa" with "europe".
Or you put "europe" in this line.
Zitattags = {"usa"},
Than:
tags = {"usa","europe"},
You have to open the "mod.lua".

Thx so much!
Could you please show me the path to get to the "mod.lua" ?
Transport Fever 2\mods\The_Mod_you_Use
C: program (x86) - > Steam - > steamapps -> common -> Transport Fever 2 -> mods -> ........ ?
Mauri Just forget what is written so far it doesn't work because:
The vehicles are simply assigned to the regions via the folder in which they are located, so just copy the tram of your choice one level down to the other European vehicles and it will also be available when you set europe as region.
It is not necessary to unzip the models.zip you can just add them to the zip. But this is gone again when TPF2 makes an update.
You can also create a path there and put the mdl in there.
And don't forget to copy the preview image in textures/ui as well.
f:\Steam\steamapps\common\Transport Fever 2\res\textures\ui\models_small\vehicle\tram\
f:\Steam\steamapps\common\Transport Fever 2\res\textures\ui\models_20\vehicle\tram\
This also works if it is a mod, put the mdl in the folder Asia/USA and the mod is only avalaible in this region, or don't use a folder and it is a europe vehicle.
Is there also a possibily to use only one Vanille vehicle and hide all orhers?
I would like to use the JU52
It should be possible to just do that inside the zip-file, just open it and copy-paste the files like in MaikC's description. No need for unpacking the zip-file.
It worked!!!!!!
I really don't know how to thank you!
I wish everyone a good weekend.
Ciao!

There is also another possible solution by editing the base_mod.lua. (Attention, it will also be reseted with an update)
Before
After
It should also be possible to write a scriptmod (mod.lua) to pass this filter to the game, but I have no idea about that.
Two last questions.
1) Now if I wanted to make the vehicle color modifiable inside TF2, through the "table" of colors, where can I modify?
2) I'd like to try my first repaint.
What are the basic steps to be able to do this?
(Leaving aside the obvious knowledge in Blender etc....)
I'd settle for just an answer to the first question.
Thanks again for your courtesy and patience.

Automatically (i.e. random colors when spawning) unfortunately only works with AI vehicles.
Basically it's the same for all of them, you define in the cdr via the cblend channel which parts should be colored. And these are then colored via the table or, in the case of player vehicles, via the menu.
I guess you deliberately don't want to set the vehicles to all in the mod activation screen? There's also the possibility to start the savegame in the usa scenario, buy the vehicles you want, save and set the scenario back to europe... far as I've used this trick, it even keeps achievements active in a vanilla game (setting vehicles to all doesn't, sadly)
