I really like Your creations so far, they are very useful additions to the game.
However I am wondering if it would be possible to add an empty ramp/gate like the one You made for the City- and regional airports but for cargo as well?
-
Hey, thank you! ...so empty CARGO ramps for Regional and City? You are right - I concentrated on passenger transport more - however this could be done sometime after Xmas!
-
No problem, take it when it suits You.
In real life a decent amount of cargo would be handled outdoors, especially in smaller airports i guess.
-
Hey guys!
Here are few screenshots of early development stages of a NEW ORIGINAL 2-level MODERN Regional Airport Terminal with INTERIOR that will be released along with an empty CARGO Ramp sometime next month!
It will have distinct DEPARTURES and ARRIVALS area..... 2 animated elevators, 2 staircases and bridges leading towards GATE area on the first floor (with jet bridge) , 4 check-in desks in front of main entrance with INFO screens and airport staff room behind those desks, various KIOSKS on the other side of the main hall as well as luggage reclaim area - all seamlessly connecting to adjacent TERMINALS.
This will be for the first time covered with a large glass (transparent) roof so you can easily sneak-peek at the walking zombies inside or those waiting for their flights
Comments and ideas are always welcome! Have a good week everyone!

Hey there!
Little update of the terminal :
1 - concept AIRSIDE (regular rectangle facade with jet bridge and name display)
2 - concept LANDSIDE ( main entrance with various different length cubes of GLASS-STEEL roof resembling CITY SKYLINE)
3 - ACTUAL PROGRESS
Ground floor has been covered to create space for SECURITY and GATE AREA upstairs and the STEEL skeleton for huge window support is being slowly built. All the stairs and safety barriers have been finished as well.
For all animations : ELEVATORS/LIFTS, DOORS and BAGGAGE RECLAIM BELT - I have asked DH-106 for help as his expertise will be invaluable to this project! These will be incorporated as the TERMINAL progresses!
This project will be release as REGIONAL AIRPORT version with 2 PARALLEL RUNWAYS for increased flights capacity as seen here :
Hope you guys like it? Please, leave a comment or suggestion - they are all appreciated!

Just freaking amazing it is!!!! that is pretty much all I can say about that
-
Wow, very impressive. I like the layout of the regional airport version with two runways. Looks great and will be very usefull. I like to "stalk" my zombies from time to time, so your concept with more glass is much appreciated.
-
Hey
The building is finished inside and outside and has been covered with glass roof as well - ready to be exported.
Also the first animated door has been painted and is being tested in game.
First time ever I have experimented and applied transparent glass texture to the door and I am quite happy with the result!
The next challenge will be texturing the whole building in Blender - inside and outside as well as researching/gathering all other necessary textures...
The work continues...

This looks awesome!

WOW!!!! Awesome, indeed!!!

Hi there!
Been busy this week with organizing my work-life so didn't have much time for the Terminal but at least I finally got to design the airport signage and put few artworks in as well.
This is a very complex model so I am constantly tweaking it , deleting useless walls inside the walls, adding new elements... so still work very much in progress.
It is a job that requires you to be an architect as well as interior designer...add modding on top of that and it can get tricky - but I promise the result will look decent!
Here are few shots of progressively emerging terminal interior
More to come soon!

Hey aviators!
I am happy to announce that New Terminal is fully textured What do you think? I am open to suggestions - preview include all areas accessible and visible from the outside.
Next it will be processing all textures and exporting 'nude' structure to Blender.
Animated : doors, lifts, monitor and baggage belt are separate objects and they are almost game-ready.
Jet bridge will also be attached from the second level for easier boarding

Beautiful. This building forces the eyes upwards to the sky while not forgetting some historic considerations like the decidedly non-ecologic departing DC-8 with its smoke trail on the picture. The car rental counter that, while obviously being closed, still invites travellers to get a car seems to encourage a little five-finger-discount. "Want a car? Bring a crow bar!"
I´m looking forward to the release.
-
LOL! Thank you!
-
What do you think?
It's fantastic! The next generation in TPF-building engineering!
Thank you again!
I am open to suggestions
Sure? In Germany we have the old saying "Don't give them your little finger, they always take the whole hand"
The dirty little planespotter on my shoulder is whispering "It would be great to have a visitor's terrace" (not with PAX lanes and/or animated, only to decorate with assets)
-
Manni, Manni... indeed! Thank you There is no place to put visitors terrace on this TERMINAL building - but there are 2 terraces on each building on top of Art Deco Airport Terminals!
One day there should be airport assets series with weather radar, ground radar and will then add that plane-spotter platform as well!
-
Hey there!
A week later and the terminal has been fully textured in Blender and is receiving lights for that day/night cycle that will come in the future
I still have to do transparent terminal windows and few artwork frames, baggage belt... then it will be off to creating those passenger lanes (going up the stairs ect... )
Still a lot of work ahead but I guess the halfway mark has been passed so it's closer to the final version and of course release!
But I leave few screenshots for you to sneek-peek, judge and hopefully enjoy!

This will be spectacular. If a night mode comes, I hope the game will learn to properly display lit-up areas; a lit spot surrounded by darkness as it is now does leave a slight film noir impression...
Looking forward to seeing this in the game
-
You are right - the film noir is purely because of no light source in Blender - it will be always sunny in game world! I know the game doesn't disperse light properly - and until it does this will be purely eye-candy decoration lights
