Sehr Detailliert finde ich.

I did look for the thumbs files but my system won't show them
Besides being obsolete they don't seem to pose an issue. -
I can now call a "Coming Soon!" on the Audi AVUS;
For the moment I've limited myself to German plates, so there will be only a German Road traffic variant.
-
A simple volume trailer based on Herpa example is being added to the Scania.
The 5th wheel is moved a bit backwards to stay clear from the trailer in sharp bends, quite a good fit :).
One or two more trailers and then I will start thinking about the paints for them.
Probably I'll make an asset per trailer type to be able to expand, it will be a while till I get to the asset, who knows I'll change my mind...
-
Next an inspired by Herpa wood truck with dolly and loading crane. I'm not going to animate the crane, if someone wants to then let me know.
I will see what works best for the dolly, I fear it won't be possible to load it on the back of the truck and only drag it behind when there is cargo on it... that needs some figuring out. Is it already known if custom cargo can use light and wheel options from the vehicle it is on?

You just never fail to surprise :-)...
-
I thought about that as well, can the custom load affect the bounding box? Otherwise this would look weird in traffic.
-
Animating the crane would not be a problem, but it would have to be postponed to a later date as I currently still have to do the animations for the hearse.
The loading of the tail section should also work, maybe even in connection with the crane .. you would have to see how it is done originally.
Custom loads as mdl's are easily feasible .. I don't know to what extent this is possible with your own cargos.
You have to animate the lighting yourself or use the "to hide" option to show or hide it. Custom cargo, and lighting.
the load is even linked to an animation, which would be an option for retracting the rear section.
Individual steering behavior is unfortunately not possible .. you can only implement opposite steering as a whole steerable axle
-
Rico S. At the moment the mesh of the crane isn't set to animate, but I will happily prepare one that can for you. No hurry perhaps drop me a PM when you're up to it and we can align the needs. But in that case I won't dig into it myself too much.
Until then plenty to do, like repaints, which for sure will lead to some addon features. I'm open for suggestions.
PS Individual steering is indeed not possible. agree. Although I still have 1 idea I need to try; using wheel-meshes with a 'wrong' pivot point, turning them upside down over the x-axle in theory will result to a reversed turn angle.
-
As soon as I'm ready, I'll let you know .. the crane and the supports (if any) have to be broken down into many small parts.
If you are successful, let me know .. I've already experimented with negative directions of rotation .. but haven't had any success for a long time.

The first paint jobs are getting form, I aim to make at least 6 liveries for each trailer, here the first ones for the city trailer.

Simply.....great!!
When we're talking about Herpa trucks, why not using their original looks, too?

Unfortunately I found very few images with Herpas box city trailer. But definitely using them as examples.
That gives me the idea for a Riwa trans for #5. For #6 I tend to a Dachser paint.
PS Wandt will be included for the DAF, only not sure yet when I finish those.

Repainting the cab went smoother than expected The UV map is quite complex, so I expected to need more time.

When you announced that you would make the Scania next, I thought: Another truck again? We already have quite a few of them!
But, always surprisingly, you don't just make a truck, of course, you concentrate on the trailer!
I am thrilled - especially with the small single-axle trailers!
-
Brilliant! They look so good. And to be honest: after searching for the examples for you, I was infected again and immediately ordered an old Herpa truck for a very good price on eBay.
