Error message: error: ..._converter_0/res/scripts/eat1963_tpf2_converter_0_17.lua:780: attempt to index field 'map_emissive' (a nil value)
Das bedeutet, dass Du in der bcfe_light.mtl aus map_color_alpha = map_emissive machen sollst.
Es lassen sich alle LOKS Konvertieren, nur die ce-44 nicht (filesystem error: Unknown exception).
I think I'm having the same problem CasperWielk was having, in that when I activate the converter and the mod I want to convert, nothing happens.
Also, the mod now shows as deprecated and I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.
Is there something in the converter's own mod.lua I need to change? Or do I need to edit the scripts of the mods themselves? Or am I just being dumb and there's something even more obvious I'm missing? I'm at my wit's end here. It was working fine for me before; I'm not sure what happened.
Early American Freight Car Pack - 2652175302 is for TPF2, why convert?
Did you change something in the converter, maybe mod.lua?
This is how it should look like (image)
Sorry, I didn't crop the image properly. That wasn't the mod I wanted to convert.
Nothing in the converter was changed, it just shows up like that now.
The converter is meant for TPF2 and not for TPF.
I'm not using TPF1 though.
You are "not using TPF2" but then show a screenshot of that very version? How come?
Because I'm a dumbass and typed "TPF2" when I meant "TPF1".
The converter only works in TPF2.

Which mod do you want to convert to TPF2?
I'm not using TPF2 though.
The converter is made for TpF2 and it has to be executed in TpF2 (not in TpF1).
Basically:
The converter was made to convert old TpF1 mods to TpF2 game
You are "not using TPF2" but then show a screenshot of that very version? How come?
Allow me to state a few obvious things. The converters raison d´être is to convert mods from TPF1 format to TPF2 format. Nothing more, nothing less. It works for about 95% of all mods but cannot handle some oddball code details encountered in others.
In order to use it, install the converter into the proper directory just like all the other mods - judging from the screenshot it may well be that this is the issue on Your system at the moment. Then, install the desired TPF1 mod into the same directory just like You would install a TPF2 mod. Open the converters \res directory and find a subdirectory "for_user" containing a mod.lua.
Rename the mod.lua that came with and is present in the convertee mod to e. g. mod2.lua to keep it reusable lateron - You´ll need it again and positively don´t want to have it deleted. Only then copy the "for_user" mod.lua into the same directory.
Start the game. First activate the mod converter, then the mod You want to convert. Success is indicated by a rapid-fire automatic opening and closing of small windows noticeable e. g. in the task bar on Your screen. Once that effect has faded out, You´ll find a protocol file in the now converted mods directory that can be discarded. Also delete the mod.lua and rename the previously saved mod2.lua back to mod.lua.
Then, the mod should work in TPF2.
You are "not using TPF2" but then show a screenshot of that very version? How come?
Because I'm an idiot who typed "I'm not using "TPF2" when I meant to type "I'm not using TPF1". I'm sorry for causing so much confusion.
Anyway, I've done all of what you said and the converter still doesn't show up properly.
Happens to all of us Now, where did You install the converter?
I installed it in \Transport Fever 2\mods, like any other mods.
Though, I downloaded the .rar file to the same directory. Maybe that's the problem?
EDIT: That wasn't it.
...where You put the .rar file should not really matter as long as You unpack it into the proper directory. Just to make sure, the general structure is ...\mods\eat1963_tpf2_converter_0\_for_user_\ , I trust, with no second \eat1963_tpf2_converter_0 in there?
That was the problem. I had \mods\eat1963_tpf2_converter_0_17\eat1963_tpf2_converter_0\_for_user_\ instead. Once I fixed that, the mod started showing up properly.
Thank you and everyone for you help. I really appreciate it.
Guten Morgen.
